Photovoltaic Business Development Manager

Location: Madrid

This position will be responsible for leading all facts of the evaluation and project development of the solar plants from Business Development to the start of construction including but not limited to:

Evaluate the new project/site opportunities, site audits, identification of civil, mechanical and electrical design opportunities and constraints. Evaluation and recommendation of major civil, mechanical and electrical design & components.

Coordinate design&engineering, permitting and procurement departments during the development of the project.

Interaction with local developers on job sites to answer questions, review requests, revises design as needed to accommodate unanticipated field conditions.

Support the Business Development team during project development and commercial negotiations. Support Structure Finance team leading the relation with the Lender’s Technical advisors during the financial closure.

Prepare quantity take-offs and costing, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontract costs, for all trades including but not limited to surveying, earthwork, fencing, reinforcing, concrete, steel, roofing, photovoltaic, and electrical work.

Ensure that project costs are properly categorized and that a feedback loop mechanism is in place to compare and adjust estimating costs vs. actual project costs.

Supporting development of partnerships with other Power Plant developers

Performs risk-analysis/forecasting for assigned projects in order to minimize negative impact for the Company.

Technical Due diligences.


  • Engineering degree

    5 years’ experience in the energy industry. Project development experience desirable, with renewable energy experience strongly preferred.


Fluency with OFFICE, AUTOCAD and Google Earth. Familiarity with PV SYST or similar desirable.

    English high level and valuable Italian
