Iberdrola awards Grupotec an EPC for a 50 MWp PV park in Villarino, Salamanca (Spain)

Iberdrola has awarded Grupotec the Villarino project in Salamanca (50 MWp). It is an important milestone for Grupotec, as it allows us to be one of the benchmark EPCists for Iberdrola, in Spain and the rest of the world, for the next 4 years.

Iberdrola is the third largest company in the world by installed base in renewables (34 GW). With origin and base in Spain, Iberdrola operates in several countries, including the United States, UK, Mexico, Brazil and Australia. Its goal is to become the world’s largest producer of ‘green electricity’, with a goal of 95 GW installed by 2030. Its investment projects total € 80,000 million by 2025.

In this case it is an EPC-BOS project, where the customer supplies the Trina monofacial module, the tracker and the central inverter. It will be quite a challenge, as it is such a relevant new client, with its own standards and demands, and a very tight construction deadline.
