Grupotec has opened its brand-new corporate headquarters in the Ikon building in Valencia. The opening of the new headquarters marks a major milestone in the history of the engineering, renewable energy, architecture and construction firm. The new space is set to become an iconic landmark for both the company and the city, reflecting its commitment to technical excellence, sustainability and the wellbeing of its staff.
The new headquarters, covering more than 5,000 square metres spread over three floors, is designed to accommodate more than 400 professionals and facilitate collaborative work between the group’s various disciplines. The spaces incorporate advanced technology, creative areas and fully equipped meeting and training rooms, promoting the exchange of ideas amongst the nearly 700 people who make up the company’s global team.
Commitment to people
The project has been designed, managed and built by in-house teams and trusted suppliers, highlighting the technical expertise and coordination skills of Grupotec’s professionals. “This project embodies the teamwork that characterises our organisation and our commitment to people, which includes our staff, our clients and our suppliers,” explain company management. “Every professional, from engineers and architects to the administrative team, has contributed to making this leap forward in our growth a reality.”
The new space is a modern, comfortable and functional working environment, designed to boost productivity, support professional development and foster personal relationships among team members. “The new offices represent much more than just a headquarters: they are a statement of principles and a reflection of the company’s strategy, designed to create a motivating working environment, which will translate into better service for clients and the company’s sustainable growth,” they hope.

Commitment to sustainability
True to its motto “Engineering for a more sustainable world”, the new headquarters incorporates an approach that optimises the use of resources, with energy efficiency and environmental management measures that comply with the standards of the ISO 14001-certified management system. This initiative reinforces Grupotec’s commitment to sustainability and responsible innovation.

International growth from Valencia
Alongside the opening of its new headquarters, Grupotec is forecasting robust growth for the 2025 financial year and expects to close the year with a turnover increase of approximately 20 per cent compared with the previous year (when it stood at 260 million euros).
By division, the Renewables division forecasts growth of around 15 per cent, with a significant presence in Spain and the Caribbean, strong momentum in the United Kingdom, and continued growth in Italy, where a notable increase is expected in 2026.
The Industry division, which focuses on industrial engineering, is growing by around 17 per cent in a market that is on the rise this financial year, whilst the Building and Construction division is performing particularly strongly: services are up by 20 per cent and construction activity by more than 30 per cent. It is precisely the latter that is growing the most, particularly in the Non-Renovated Construction segment, which was launched three years ago and is currently taking off.
With this move, Grupotec is not only upgrading its facilities but also reaffirming its ties with Valencia as a strategic and cultural hub. From its headquarters in Valencia and its offices in Madrid, Seville, Murcia and London, the company is determined to drive its expansion across more than 20 countries on four continents and to consolidate its position as a leading company in its sector.
Founded in 1997 by Valencian engineers, it is positioned as a European leader in the design and construction of large-scale photovoltaic plants, and a national benchmark in comprehensive engineering solutions. The opening symbolises not only a physical change but also a firm commitment to sustained growth, technical excellence and people’s well-being. “This new headquarters gives us the momentum to tackle the challenges of the energy transition and strengthen our role in the sector’s internationalisation,” the management emphasises.
