Grupotec has been honoured with the 2026 Company Award presented by Valencia Plaza, in recognition of its track record and its contribution to engineering, architecture and construction from the Valencian Community to the rest of the world.

Ediciones Plaza celebrated its 16th anniversary on Monday at the Roig Arena in Valencia, at an event attended by more than 1,500 people from the business, institutional, cultural and sporting sectors. As part of this gala, the group presented its annual awards, which since 2013 have recognised the talent and commitment of Valencia’s economic and social fabric.

This year, the jury awarded Grupotec the 2026 Business Award, highlighting its status as a Valencian company specialising in engineering and energy, with almost three decades of experience and a presence in numerous countries. The publication highlights Grupotec’s contribution to industry, the energy transition and other markets, as well as its sustained growth in turnover, workforce and project volume in recent years, which positions it as one of the leading groups in its sector within the Valencian Community.

The event brought together a broad cross-section of the Valencian business community, including sectoral associations, energy companies, industrial firms and organisations from the innovation and financial sectors. Also in attendance were political figures from the Regional Government, the Provincial Council and Valencia City Council, as well as representatives from the worlds of culture, sport, academia and civil society, who came together to mark both the newspaper’s anniversary and the recognition of the award-winning companies.

In addition to the award for Grupotec as Company of the Year, Valencia Plaza honoured Quibim with the Valencia Plaza 2026 Award and the IVO Foundation with the 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award. The Mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá, emphasised during her speech that companies such as Grupotec are a source of pride for the city and help to position Valencia as a cutting-edge centre both nationally and internationally.

For Grupotec, this recognition provides a further boost to its business project and public endorsement of the work carried out by all its teams in Spain and in the various countries where it operates.
