The facility comprises 147 battery racks spread across four modules, with sufficient capacity to power approximately 75,000 UK households for two hours. Its mode of operation is simple: it charges overnight and discharges during the day, thereby contributing to the stability of the electricity grid and the UK’s decarbonisation (net zero) targets.
