Mineral surfacing manufacturing and R&D&I plant

A building 640 m long, 111 m wide and 35 m high at its highest point: over 71,000 m² built in just 12 months of construction —18 months including design and administrative procedures— on a 250,000 m² plot in an industrial estate in Almassora (Castellón). The project commissioned to Grupotec involved the simultaneous management of extraordinary scales: over 5,000,000 kg of steel in the main structure, 184 trusses with a clear span of 55.5 m without intermediate columns, and 260 km of electrical cabling. This major investment reflects the group’s commitment to process and product innovation, a hallmark of INALCO and its parent group Torrecid, with whom Grupotec collaborates on a regular basis.
