Industrial and Building Engineering with BIM Methodology
Certified Maturity. BIM That Delivers Real Value to the Client.
BIM is a collaborative working methodology for designing, building and managing buildings and infrastructure based on a digital model containing all project information, capable of encompassing the full life cycle of the asset. At Grupotec, we are committed to innovation and excellence in BIM. We have a well-established BIM / BMO (BIM Management Office) area, with overall coordination and specialist technicians across all our offices, integrated transversally into projects spanning industry, water treatment, biogas, self-consumption, architecture and hydraulics.
Our maturity in Building Information Modelling is certified under the ISO 19650 standard and reaches Level 3 on the BIM Wedge Diagram scale, with more than 300 projects delivered for the most important clients across the industries and markets in which Grupotec operates.
Working with BIM allows us to detect clashes before work begins on site, coordinate disciplines in real time, control costs using quantities extracted directly from the model and deliver structured, traceable information to the client throughout the entire asset life cycle. The result: collaborative projects, fewer errors, less rework, better timescales, centralised information and more sustainable projects from the very first day of design.

What Sets Us Apart in BIM
BIM Services
Document Management and CDE
We implement Common Data Environments (CDE) with a single shared repository, version control, full traceability and coordinated access for all parties, in accordance with ISO 19650 standards.

Modelling and Interoperability
We develop multidisciplinary BIM models — architecture, structure, MEP systems, civil works — with full interoperability across platforms, standardised classification and systematic quality control at every deliverable stage.

Coordination and Clash Detection
We carry out interdisciplinary coordination reviews and automated clash detection to resolve in the design phase the conflicts that, if left to site, generate delays and cost overruns.

Cost Control and BIM Quantities
We extract quantities directly from the model to produce more accurate budgets, simulate prefabrication and reduce late changes on site, linking model and cost from the earliest project stages.

Lifecycle and Facility Management
We structure the model information so that the asset remains manageable beyond construction: from the BIM execution plan through to the digital as-built, we deliver a live database that facilitates the long-term operation and maintenance (O&M) of the asset.
