Manchasol 1 and 2 solar thermal power stations

Engineering services for two solar thermal power stations, “C.T. Manchasol I” and “C.T. Manchasol II” using parabolic trough (PT) technology, each with a capacity of 50 MW, with a thermal energy storage system utilising molten salt tanks. Detailed engineering, design and construction project for the facilities. Manchasol is a concentrated solar power plant with parabolic trough collectors fitted with a sun-tracking mechanism that rotates on its own longitudinal axis. The plant covers an area of 400 hectares and has a storage capacity of 7.5 hours, thanks to the use of molten salts, which prevent an estimated 299,000 tonnes of CO₂eq from being emitted into the atmosphere each year.
